Widener University announced that it has joined Scholars Network, the nationwide platform that connects nursing and allied health students with healthcare employers offering guaranteed jobs and student loan repayment support after graduation.
For Widener students, the partnership provides a clearer path from program to practice: participating students can be matched with health system partners who fund a portion of their student loans in exchange for a multi-year clinical work commitment. The arrangement reduces debt risk for graduates and helps regional hospitals build a more reliable pipeline of clinical staff.
Widener joins a growing roster of Scholars Network partner schools — including Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Gwynedd Mercy University, Duquesne, and Salve Regina — bringing the model to more nursing and allied health programs across the Northeast.
